Senior Administrator - Unix

Position Summary

The Senior Administrator Unix is responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s Unix/Linux servers and related IT infrastructure. The role ensures system stability, security, performance, and high availability across the enterprise.

Academic/ Vocational Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer sciences / IT / Engineering or a Diploma in Engineering

Work Experience

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar environment for a bachelor’s candidate and 7-10 years for an Engineering Diploma holder
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu), including installation, patching, performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience managing production Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, upgrades, networking, storage (PV/PVC), RBAC, and troubleshooting.- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker/containers), Helm, and Kubernetes networking & storage.
• Good scripting skills (Bash/Python) and experience with automation/DevOps tools (Ansible, CI/CD).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management in enterprise environments
